Tenuta Pilastru

Tenuta Pilastru is a converted farmhouse (stazzo), stables and outbuildings which have been redesigned by local architects and lovingly restored by the family who have grown up here to create a charming hotel with agriturismo (farm restaurant) and cottage style rooms. The old farmhouse that was built in 1840 and the stables are now Farmhouse rooms overlooking the lemon tree patio. The outbuildings are now Cottage style rooms hidden among the wild green olive trees. 

All 39 guest rooms are furnished using local woods, wrought iron and natural materials and equipped with air conditioning/heating, TV, telephone, minibar and en suite bath/shower room with hairdryer. They are beautifully decorated in a traditional Sardinian style and the names are inspired by the local flora and fauna. 

Classic Room  (20-25m ² , sleeping 2 + cot) double bedroom with en suite bath/shower room and most with a furnished terrace with views across the countryside (2 rooms are located on the first floor and have picture windows to enjoy the surrounding views).

Superior Room  (25m ² , sleeping 2 + cot) double bedroom (twin on request) with en suite bath/shower room and furnished terrace overlooking the gardens.

Superior Comfort Room  (28m ² , sleeping 2 + cot)  double bedroom with en suite bath/shower room and furnished terrace overlooking the gardens and countryside.

Suite(50m ² , sleeping 2 + cot)   double bedroom with en suite shower room, separate living room and furnished terrace overlooking the gardens.

The restaurant at the Tenuta Pilastru has an excellent local reputation with a traditional agriturismo set menu but with many more choices of antipasti, pasta and a high standard of local cuisine. The ingredients are all from the local area and the meat, cheese and wine is produced on site to produce a real taste of Sardinia. The restaurant also offers an alternative menu with choices including fish and vegetarian options (open for evening meals April-October).

The snack pool bar offers cold dishes during the day.

Please note: Guests on B&B in August who wish to have dinner in the restaurant are required to book a table 7 days in advance due to being open to the public. From 15/07 - 15/09, 2/3 nights a week, there will be soft live music in the restaurant until midnight, therefore if necessary please request (not guaranteed) a room away from the restaurant.

In the grounds there are some amazing rock formations and a feature freshwater swimming pool, with a shallow end for children and spa centre (extra cost, 17 years and over only).

If you climb up to the top of the hill there are wonderful far reaching countryside views. Horse riding is available locally as well as golf, sailing, boat hire and excursions to the nearby archaeological sites and to the island of La Maddalena.

The relaxing spa centre has an indoor pool, Turkish bath, jacuzzi, sauna, emotional shower (pre-book), fitness centre and massage facilities (all extra cost).

Although the Tenuta Pilastru is in a rural location, it is only 5km (10 minutes' drive) to the nearest town of Arzachena with a good selection of shops, weekly market, bars, cafés, restaurants and pizzerias. Baia Sardinia and Porto Cervo, in the heart of the Costa Smeralda, are approximately 15/20km respectively. The nearest beaches are to be found in Palau and Cannigione, approximately 12km away.
