Grand Hotel Cannigione

This new hotel is built in classical courtyard style, finished in bright white with granite features. The décor and furnishings are inspired by Sardinian style including fabrics, Orosei marble, granite and ceramics influenced by the colours of the Costa Smeralda from the turquoise sea to the gold of the sand.

The guest rooms and suites are arranged over 3 floors serviced by 2 lifts, those located on the ground floor have direct access to the heated swimming pool while some rooms located on the upper floors enjoy a fantastic view of the Gulf of Cannigione.

All the rooms are elegantly furnished in contemporary style and have queen size bed, en suite shower room with hairdryer, air conditioning/heating, minibar, safe to contain a laptop, TV with Sky, telephone and kettle.

The suites are on the first and second floors, all with parquet flooring, living room with a double sofa bed, cloakroom with WC, bedroom with a king size bed, walk-in wardrobe and shower room with 2 washbasins and WC.

La Pitrizza restaurant is located on the ground floor adjacent to the pool and offers an international buffet breakfast consisting of pastries, cold meats and cheeses, selection of fresh fruit, juices and smoothies.

There are delicious menu choices for both lunch and dinner, with typical Sardinian dishes including fresh fish appetizers from the island to typical cured meats and cheeses, tasty first and second courses from the sea and land combined with the best local, national and international wines. Food allergies are catered for and there is a dress code in the evenings. 

The pool bar serves drinks and snacks throughout the day and evening. Guests can enjoy aperitifs, wines and sparkling wines in addition to delicious and healthy fresh squeezed juices.

In the courtyard, there is an open-air infinity pool which is partly covered and heated, with sunbeds and parasols on the surrounding terrace.

Located on the upper terrace with views to the sea, there is a cardio fitness area with Technogym® equipment and a personal trainer (on request, extra cost).

The hotel organises a free transfer to the Cannigione sea shore (500m) with reserved wooden sundeck with sunbeds, parasols and beach towels and to Tanca Manna beach (3km) also with sunbeds and parasols for guests.

The hotel reception offers guests hotel and local information with a concierge service, plus room service and same day laundry service (both extra cost).  

The Wellness centre (extra cost) is equipped with sauna, Turkish steam bath and emotional showers. The private spa room can be booked by couples consisting of a spa bath, steam room and 2 beds for treatments. There is a salon with hairdresser and beauty treatments are available (extra cost).

Grand Hotel Cannigione is situated just 500m from the beach and 650m from the town in Cannigione on the north east coast of Sardinia.

Cannigione is a popular holiday destination with a port and marina offering boat trips and boat hire to visit the nearby beaches and islands of the Archipelago of La Maddalena. The town has a selection of shops, supermarkets, weekly market and night market (high season), plus a good selection of restaurants, pizzerias, café bars and gelaterias. It is an excellent location to visit the beautiful Costa Smeralda with Baia Sardinia (13km) and Porto Cervo (17km) away.

The Costa Smeralda ‘Emerald Coast’, the name inspired by the azure colour of the sea, nestles in the north east corner of the island.
