Club Hotel Baia Sardinia

This classic Sardinian hotel with stunning sea views is situated right on the beautiful beach in Baia Sardinia.

The rooms are typical Sardinian style and would recommend upgrading to a sea view room to make the most of the stunning outlook. There is no pool but the sea in front of the hotel is very clear turquoise, ideal for swimming and snorkelling.

We think the Club hotel Miramare Restaurant is one of the best restaurants on the island with stunning views and definitely the best Matre’d.

Hotel & RESIDENCE Oasis

In our experience, the Oasis provides all the ingredients for a successful family holiday and is very good value for money. Not only does it provide many facilities, children will love the pools, it is also close to the beach and colourful town of Alghero.

Surrounded by attractive gardens, the Oasis is a well-established and well-kept hotel and residence with a great holiday atmosphere. It is about a 15 to 20 min walk along the lido to the old town of Alghero, a charming old Catalan town often referred to as the Coral Riviera, nestled into the north west Sardinian coastline with wonderful views over the bay to the dramatic cliffs at Capo Caccia. The old walled town, within the ancient ramparts and lookout towers, has a lively atmosphere with a good selection of shops, café bars and restaurants. It has an interesting history to discover manifested in its well-preserved architecture.

Hotel La Funtana, Adult Only

Hotel La Funtana has always proved very popular with our guests being a good value for money bed and breakfast with modern accommodation and, in my opinion having stayed there several times, very well situated for a touring or beach holiday.

Santa Teresa has a central piazza, ideal for watching the world go by whilst enjoying a delicious gelato (ice cream) or an authentic espresso or cappuccino.

The town beach (reached via a steep hill) and the beaches at Capo Testa (approximately 3km) are some of the best on the island. There are stunning coastal walks with views to Corsica and the Valley of the Moon with amazing rock formations to explore.

Ferries to Corsica leave from the port (taking approximately 50 mins) as do boat trips to La Maddalena islands and marine nature reserve,  both well worth visiting.

Gabbiano Azzurro Hotel

Gabbiano Azzurro Hotel & Suites is a great family run hotel on a stunning beach location, 21km from Olbia Airport, which has been beautifully refurbished to now feature stunning Luxury Pool Suites. With friendly service, excellent restaurant and panoramic views and sunsets, it will appeal to both couples and families.  There is a pool with shallow area for children and the white sandy beach has amazing clear turquoise sea gently shelving and shallow for a long way out.

This is an excellent base to explore the local area with great walks on the Golfo Aranci headland of Capo Figari, beautiful coves to explore along the peninsular, dolphin spotting trips and it is also possible to visit Porto Rotondo and the Costa Smeralda.
